ผลการแข่ง UFC ON FOX 25 Chris Weidman Vs Kelvin Gastelum

ในการแข่งขัน UFC on Fox ครั้งที่ 25 คู่เอกของรายการ Chris Weidman อดีตแชมป์ รุ่น มิดเดิ้ลเวท ที่กำลังตกอยู่ในสถานการณ์ลำบาก แพ้ต่อเนื่องมาถึง 3 ครั้งติด ได้มาสู้กับ Kelvin Gastelum ในบ้านตัวเองที่ Long Island เมือง นิวยอร์ค ซึ่งในยกแรกก่อนจบยก นั้น Weidman ก็โดน Gastelum ปล่อยหมัดเด็ดเข้าเต็มหน้า แต่ Weidman ก็ยังอึดพอที่จะเอาตัวรอดจากการโดน TKO มาได้

แต่ในยกที่ 2 Weidman ก็อาศัยการเทคดาวน์ที่ดี ขึ้นควบคุม Gastelum ได้ตลอดยก และ ยกที่ 3 Weidman ก็กลับมาใช้จุดแข็งของตัวเอง ในการเทคดาวน์และควบคุมคอนโทรลในตำแหน่งที่ดีกว่า ในการสร้างโอกาส จนในสุดท้ายก็ทำท่า arm-triangle choke ใส่ Gastelum จนต้องยอมแพ้ Tap Out ไปในที่สุด ซึ่งการที่เอาชนะ Gastelum ได้ทำให้เส้นทางกลับสู่อันดับของรุ่น มิดเดิ้ลเวท นั้นของ Weidman นั้นกลับมาสดใสอีกครั้ง และ Weidman เองก็ได้ท้าทาง แชมป์คนปัจจุบัน Michael Bisping ให้มาสู้กันต่อในทันที ในขณะที่ Gastelum ก็ให้สัมภาษณ์ว่าอาจจะลดน้ำหนักลงไปสู้ในรุ่นอื่นครับ
